Equine Assisted Development (EAD)
Deb VanderBand, Executive Director of EAD, received a grant from the Rotary Club of Kentwood with a matching grant from and Rotary District 6290 to put one veteran through a pilot program called Project 30. Project 30 was created by the equine therapy center Refuge Services in Lubbock, Texas, and has been successfully implemented at other equine centers to treat veterans' PTSD. EAD is one of four equine centers in Michigan trained in Program 30 and looks forward to offering it as a regular program in Spring 2025.
