Rotarians Making a Difference
Rotarians Marilyn Reichenberg, Spencer Libby of Wheeler Motors and Margaret Campbell with the help of Marc Maassen and Bill Campbell delivered a donated Keystone Springdale RV camper to Cheboygan Compassionate Ministries, Inc./The Lord’s Kitchen. The camper will be used for a short term shelter for displaced families due to fire, flood or other unforeseen catastrophes. Thank you, Marilyn for your generosity and thanks to rotarians Annette Eustice and Natalie McCluggage of Salvation Army for their council and coordination.
Rotary Annual Change of Guard Dinner
Each year rotary celebrates the past year and rings in the new year at the change of guard dinner. This year past president Dwayne LaPointe passed the tourch to our new President Brad Martin.
We also celebrate not one but TWO new Paul Harris Fellowships, Carole Yeck and Brandy Mulak.

Keeping the Community Safe: Bike Light Initiative
For the third year in a row the Cheboygan Rotary Club has participated with the League of Michigan Bicyclists in obtaining sets of red and white bicycle lights to be distributed by local law enforcement officers to those who use bicycles as a principal means of transportation which means they often ride at times with little or no daylight. In 2023 and 2024 Rotary received 30 sets of lights which were distributed by the Cheboygan Sheriff’s Department and the Cheboygan City Police. This year Rotary received 40 sets and provided them to those departments as well as to the Mackinaw City Police Department.
In addition to the light's safety literature is provided to cyclists outlining the laws and recommendations applicable to riding a bicycle in Michigan.
Funding for the lights is provided by the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning and the DALMAC Fund. In 2023 over 900 sets of lights were distributed; in 2024 over 2000 sets of light were provided throughout Michigan

Rotarians in Cheboygan band together to deliver and sell dozens of roses to help support local scholarship programs. You can get your roses in November. Look forward to more to come!
