The charitable needs of our community are great and every year the Rotary Club of Grand Junction Horizon Sunrise (HSR) will distribute Community Grants sponsored by our membership to very deserving non-profit service organizations in the local Mesa County area. The HSR Community Grants Committee looks for innovative projects and services that respond to community issues, address local needs, are available to the community as a whole or large segment in need, and will improve community members lives. The HSR Community Grants Committee will review all Grant applications and submit recommendations to the Rotary Club Board of Directors for final selection.

The Horizon Sunrise Rotary Club supports multiple local and international causes.  Our primary focus areas are children’s education and literacy, ending hunger, and youth leadership and development.  Grant requests that fall under these areas will be given greater consideration, however all our encouraged to apply.

The deadline for the 2025 Horizon Sunrise Rotary grant cycle is September 30th, 2025.  Questions can be directed to Grants Chair, Carmen Shipley at carmen.shipley@imail.org
