It isn't often that we get a chance to find out some of the things that Rotary does internationally. Fortunately, Kirk Rider has a friend who was written up in The New York Times. Kirk was gracious enough to share this information with us.

Mike, I saw this piece last week in the New York Times, and then my
friend Gudrun Rice sent it to me electronically. Her daughter-in-law
is the lady I have mentioned at Rotary, the Rotary Peace Scholar who works in Myanmar with refugees and who will be leading a panel at RI's International Peace Conference in Brazil.
You might care to forward this to our members.
Best,
Kirk
