Grand Valley Audubon--We're more than just birds!

Teacher, naturalist, wanderer and wonderer is how I like to describe myself. After attending college in Arizona and Oregon, I worked seasonally as a National Park Service naturalist in western national parks before beginning a teaching career. I retired into travel and volunteer work involving environmental education after many years of teaching upper elementary and middle school students.

Currently, I am in my fourth year as president of Grand Valley Audubon where I oversee our local bird banding education program for students in the Valley, and spend as much time as possible traveling, cycling, birding, hiking and learning in the great outdoors.
