Rotary Club of Grand Junction President
Steven Schultz, 2023-2024

Welcome to the 2023-2024 Rotary year! The Grand Junction Rotary Club has been serving the Grand Valley for 104 years, and I am honored to be serving as president for the next year. We will honor this club's long-standing tradition of service by building on our best practices, while searching for new, engaging opportunities that ensure a meaningful future for each other and those we serve.

The past few years we've spent time “Imagining” the possibilities of Rotary in the future. Our club has responded by creating new pathways to membership. Members can participate in the noon club every Wednesday, or meet with our evening group, which meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. We have also created a Corporate Membership option. The result of these efforts has been increased membership, which will certainly increase our ability to serve!

This year's Rotary International President, Gordon R. McInally, has chosen “Create Hope in the World” with an emphasis on Mental Health and well-being as the Rotary theme. "To create hope, we must continue doing our important work, and do it better than ever before," he said. "We must refocus our efforts to build peace across the globe. And we must help each other find peace within — and share that ethic of care to the people we serve." These are tall orders, but I believe we can and will rise to the challenge!

We will be people of action dedicated to service above self!
Together we will learn!
Together we will connect!
Together we will have a significant impact on our community and around the world!

Thank you!
Steve Schultz
