Great Grant Writers!

WOW!  Our club has some fantastic grant writers!  We owe a huge THANK YOU to Carol Bach and Caryn Adams.  These two Rotarians have gotten $3150 in grants for projects our club is spearheading!  Here is the breakdown:

International Committee:  Received $500 from a District 5470 grant for sending children’s books to Romania.  Carmen Mateo and Caryn Adams are leading this program.

Rotary Club Community Service and Emily Griffith Center:  Received $500 from PPARE and $1500 from our District 5470 for a backpack project.  These backpacks will be used by individuals as they go into the community.  Judy Casey, Ashlee Martin, and Jack Houser are leading this program.

Rotary Club Community Service and Rotary Making A Difference:  Received $300 from PPARE and $350 District 5470 for our Dental Day Program.  This increase in grant money will allow us to expand our program to Taylor Elementary, as well as continue at Queen Palmer Elementary.  This program allows us to see children in grades 2-5 to screen for dental issues.  Member of the Rotary Making Difference Committee are:  Carol Bach, Jack Brush, Leslie Cook, John Cunning, Michael Haas, Jack Kinney, Larry Liston, Greg Moore,  Marlene Rothzeid, Ron Rubin, and Dennis Shoemaker.
