After a long wait, funds for our club's Global Grant, El Arado Nicaragua Water Project, have been transferred from the Rotary Foundation to our club's special account.  Now we will be able to transfer funds to our host club in Managua so that the project may begin.
Here's a breakdown of the funding and sources -- Total Budget - $56,526
- Rotary Club of Colorado Springs (including $10,000 from Palmer Interact Club) -- $18,750
- North Colorado Springs Rotary - $475
- East Colorado Springs Rotary - $250
- District 5470 Designated Funds - $14,000
- Rotary Foundation - $23,051
Since the Global Grant Program started in 2013, our club has managed over $180,000 to include four scholarships and this current water project.  Of the $180,000, $79,000 was provided by our district designated funds, and $88,000 from the Rotary Foundation in matches.
Doing good in the World!
