Thank you to those who volunteered or attended the Southern Colorado Juneteenth Festival at America the Beautiful Park. It was a gorgeous day and I hope you were able to find time to celebrate with our community this weekend or yesterday.
Recently our lovely Club Admin, Karen Mooty, found many Rotary members portraits in the office of club from many years back and uploaded them to the website. If you would like to enjoy these flashbacks be sure to check them out HERE. We also are continuing to add to our Notable Rotarian Section after the Heritage Moments occur and those can be read HERE!
This week we will be joined by Palmer High School Teacher, Sean Wybrant and a couple of students. As a grant recipient from our service fund, Mr. Wybrant has worked with his students to create a S.T.E.A.M Factory!
Be sure to RSVP HERE for the June 28th meeting where we will celebrate the 2023-2024 year, recognize outstanding Rotarians, and have time for fellowship with one another! Our last social for the year will also take place the evening of the 28th at Lumen8 from 4:30 - 7:30 pm. RSVP HERE to let us know if you will be attending the social!
Friday, June 28th @ 11:00 am: Wings of Change Committee Meeting in the DoubleTree Lobby

S.T.E.A.M Factory at Palmer High School (Flight Grant Recipient)
Hear from Flight grant recipient, Sean Wybrant, a teacher from Palmer High School, who created a S.T.E.A.M Factory. Students from D11 Palmer High School will join Mr. Wybrant to share how they have been able to train in customer service, accepting orders, invoicing, accounting, time-management, human resources, entrepreneurship, and general bussiness practices by actively running the S.T.E.A.M Factory.
Students have been trained on 4 separate types of Print-on-Demand equipment and learned 8 separate computer programs for design and production to generate $2,500 in sales from 12 events at both internal and external locations.
If you are interested in promoting your business, we are offering banner advertising on our website for $250 for the Rotary year. This is a great way to help underwrite the costs of our club website and promote your business at the same time! See Dan Hillman for more details.
