Our club's July Board of Directors meeting will be held Thursday, July 21st. This month's board meeting will be at The Antlers Jackson Board Room -- far south end of the hotel, main floor, down from the lobby. Board meetings begin promptly at 7:30 am and are concluded at 9:00 am. They are a great way to make-up a meeting and fulfill requirements for white badges. At our most recent meeting, Jean Feist (our club Secretary) shared with us an opportunity for the club to participate in an international project supporting clean water for rural Nicaragua. Our international committee, chaired by Donna Dell'Olio, is exploring how we could be the catalyst for this effort. To get the ball rolling and learn about what is needed in Nicaragua, the international committee is organizing a service trip to Nicaragua in early January 2017. Also at last Friday's meeting, you heard from our Foundation Director, Tom Nelson, about the opportunity to make your regular donations to the Rotary Foundation through Rotary Direct. Rotary Direct provides you a method to make your monthly, quarterly, or annual donations to the Rotary Foundation by credit or debit card.
If you're currently making your regular donation to the Rotary Foundation with your quarterly dues from the club, please consider the switch to Rotary Direct. Your donation will immediately start doing good work with the Foundation. Our Executive Secretary does not have to take care of depositing your donation in our club checking account, keeping records of your donation, and then sending a check to the Rotary Foundation with your donation along with those of others in the club.
If you're currently making a quarterly donation to the Rotary Foundation, you may continue the same with Rotary Direct. Perhaps, though, you would consider switching to a monthly donation -- minimum donation with Rotary Direct is $10 per month.
