We are asking members and guests to RSVP so that we can let the venue know how many will be attending. This is part of our contract. The meeting cost is $30 which you can pay at the door or use the link on our website. If you are invoiced for meeting dues, then you don't pay at the door. Also if you have prepaid all the meals of the quarter, you don't have to rsvp for yourself but if you are bringing a guest, rsvp for the guest. Also make sure to let me know via a separate email or phone call if your guest needs a special meal. Please RSVP by Monday at 5pm.
About Dr. Ginnett's program
Hopefully, most everyone has had a great team experience somewhere in their life. Almost assuredly, and unfortunately, everyone has had a very bad team experience. In this presentation, we will look at some really great teams, some really badly performing teams, and we will wrap up by peeking behind the curtain at a couple of things about teams that are, for the most part, completely unknown to most people.
BIO
Dr. Robert Ginnett is an internationally recognized expert in the leadership of high-performance teams and organizations. He has worked with hundreds of for-profit organizations as well as the United States Army, Navy and Air Force and the DIA and CIA. Prior to working independently, Robert was a Senior Fellow at the Center for Creative Leadership, and a tenured professor at the United States Air Force Academy where he also served as the Director of Leadership and Counseling. Additionally, he served in numerous line and staff positions in the military including leadership of an 875-man combat force and covert operations teams in the Vietnam War. He spent over ten years working as a researcher for NASA focusing his work at the Kennedy Space Center in the post-Challenger period and is currently on the faculty of the Gettysburg Leadership Experience. Robert is an organizational psychologist whose education includes a Ph.D. from Yale University. He has written numerous articles and chapters and is co-author of the best-selling undergraduate textbook, Leadership: Enhancing the Lessons of Experience, now in its 10th edition.
