February 1, 2016 Meeting Notes

The meeting was called to order by President, Jocelyn Fabry, and prayer was given by Justin Knepper.

 

Guests:

- Julianna Leigh - former exchange student and LSSU employee

- Lauren Brey - Newspaper multimedia sales

- Connie Baker - Soo Original, moved back 4 years ago to retire, wants to open Children's Museum

- Jr. Rotarians shared their weekend stories

 

Announcements:

- Game Show last weekend raised $19,000!  10% will go toward Betsy scholarships and the rest towards bathroom construction at the kinross fair grounds

- Youth Exchange committee found out both students from the Sault will be able to be sent outbound next year!

- Wrestling Tournament and Habitat Gala are both on the 27th

- Kindergarten Round Up Books signup went around at today's meeting.  The cost is $5 per book to sponsor.

- March 21 - 3rd Annual READ event

Dr. Robert MacWest joined us today to share the feasibility of a Children's interactive Museum here, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
