Randy Redner attended the weekly meeting before Thanksgiving to share about national and local philanthropic trends and the impact of the Rainbow Village in Gwinnett County. Individuals still make up the highest percentage (67%) of giving in 2021 for the US compared to corporations, foundations, etc. On the local level, the Gwinnett Housing and Community Development Division has been tracking the demographic trends, housing supply, and upcoming challenges of available and affordable housing.
Rainbow Village was founded in 1991 and is the largest transitional housing nonprofit in Gwinnett County. It is a 2-year program to house families and provides programming for Family Stability, Well-being, Financial Management, Education & Training, and Employment & Career.
