WHAT GOOD DOES MY CLUB DO IN MY COMMUNITY AND WORLD?
 
THE ROTARY CLUB OF BRASELTON has contributed $64,217 as set out below.
 

Braselton Rotary Activity & Accomplishments

7/1 – 12/31/2014

  • Distributed $3,000 to our Scholarship Winners

  • $1000 to The Tree House Inc.

  • Joint Chili Cookoff with the Chateau Elan Women’s Club

  • Joined the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce

  • Added 8 New Members

  • District Grant of $5,000 presented to the Hospital for Braselton Rotary Flag Plaza.

  • Raised $5,000 in annual 5K, with 200 runners.  Gave $2500 of these proceeds to Jackson County Boys & Girls Club, $625 to Buford CC team, $625 to Jackson Cty Comprehensive CC & $250 to Mill Creek CC team.

  • Gave the cost of a meal to the Rotary Foundation, $396 for the End Polio Now Campaign.  This will become a $792 donation as a result of the match of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

  • Gave $500 and participated in the annual Christmas Tree Lighting for the City of Braselton.

  • Gave $4500 to Eagle Ranch.  $300 in support of their annual fund raiser and $4200 to buy new appliances for two of their homes.

  • Gave $125 in support of the Mill Creek Interact Club.

  • Took a Vocational Tour to Panoz Motors.

  • Had a social at One Blue Duck, in which they donated 10% of proceeds to our Scholarship Fund, $100.

  • We have had 18 speakers, which means 18 books will be donated to the Braselton Library.

  • Our members have given 6 classification talks.

  • 10+ members volunteered for Keep the Rivers Alive Event in Braselton.

  • We continue to have a great weekly Newsletter and we have had 2 articles published in the District website.

  • Supported a wonderful GRSP student from Italy.

  • Added 5 Paul Harris Fellows.

  • Gave out the 1st Rotarian of the Quarter

  • Last, and certainly not least helped 100 kids in our community have a merrier Christmas, as a result of our Annual Reverse Raffle which raised $44,200 this year.  Over $10,000 of this will help support our Scholarship Program.

  • That’s $64,217 to support our Community.  What an incredible 6 month achievement, and an incredibly generous club!  Thanks to every member!!!
