In our efforts to do good in the world, we start at home and , since our founding in 2005, have given over $500,000 to local charities. For example we provided more than $115,000 to the Northeast Georgia Health System (Braselton), more than $50,000 to Jackson County Boys and Girls Clubs to help youth find positive direction, Christmas gifts and meals to over 1500 underprivileged children. We also provide scholarships for students in 4 year college programs or technical school programs, donated more than 500 books to the Braselton Library. We also partner with local organizations to provide safe refuge for folks leaving abusive home situations and sex trafficking/slavery conditions.
Our current project is to work with the Town of Braselton to provide inclusive equipment for the children visiting our soon to be renovated PlayGround.
On an international basis we co-sponsor the Georgia Rotary Student Program which provides a year of schooling for students from outside the US. Each year we donate to organizations to help eradicate Alzheimer's and Polio. We have participated in funding Alliance for Smiles and the installation of water wells in Africa, Ghana and India giving people clean water thereby increasing the standard of living and longevity.
Each member of our club donates $100 every year to the Rotary International Foundation which focuses on promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene, saving mothers and children, supporting education, growing local economies, and protecting the environment.
