Dr. Lee spoke about the Hospital’s Stroke Program. With Dr. Lee’s guidance, NGMC Braselton was recently designated a Primary Stroke Center. Primary Stroke Center certification means that a hospital can provide treatment to a broad range of stroke conditions along with acute therapies, and admit patients to a designated stroke unit specifically assigned for stroke care. Primary Stroke Centers also act as a resource center for other facilities in the region, including being a main transfer site for stabilized stroke patients.
