CES Food Shelf - Family Friendly Volunteer Event

 

Make plans now to join us at Community Emergency Service (CES) on Saturday, October 28, 2023.  This will be another of our family friendly, bi-monthly food shelf volunteer events where we will pack food and sundry items in accordance with the “shopping” lists of approximately 80 of CES’s home delivery clients.  No need to register.

 

Parking is available in the small lot behind the building or on 19th Street.  Please enter the building from the entrance off of the parking lot (the door is sometimes locked, so you may need to ring the bell).  CES’s address is 1900 11th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55404 (corner of 11^th Avenue South and 19^th Street). 

 

If you plan on attending the packing event on the 28th and wish to bring food or sundry items to donate, please feel free to do so.  CES is usually low on caffeinated coffee (plain-not flavored), which is available in $1.25 packages at Dollar Tree. And CES is especially in need of donations of plastic bottles of strawberry jelly or jam, as well as hygiene products, such as bath soap, toothpaste, individually packaged toothbrushes, and shampoo, as well.  They also accept pet food and litter for their pet food shelf.  Upon request, CES will provide a receipt to you for your donation.
