Seniors are invited to join us Monday, Aug. 30 at 6 p.m. at Rotary Garden Court in Waterdown.
The Rotary Club of Waterdown is happy to announce that our popular seniors corn roast is returning!
The event takes place Monday, Aug. 30 at 6 p.m. at Rotary Garden Court in Waterdown, and all local seniors are welcome.
The format this year will be modified to accommodate pandemic health and safety protocols. As in the past, guests will be seated at outdoor tables, and hot dogs, salads, and fresh local corn will be on the menu. To minimize contact, Rotarians will be serving meals to each table, and we will not be holding the raffle this year; instead, guests will receive a small treat to take home. To ensure we have enough seating, we are asking those who are able to bring along a lawn chair.
The club realizes the importance of socializing and connecting with the community, especially for seniors who have had to limit their activities over the past 18 months. This event, even in a modified format, will give them a chance to enjoy a safe and fun dinner with friends.
