Speaking at the club meeting was president elect Brenda Jefferies.
Brenda spoke to the club about her media background and many years with the Flamborough Review. She talked about the profound changes and upheavals that have diminished, print media locally, as well as in general.
Locally, the Boswell family owned the Flamborough Review for many years and eventually sold the paper. They were followed by a variety of corporate owners. Metroland, the last, closed the print edition and eventually filed for bankruptcy. Brenda, still in the business, is now editor of 'Flamborough Today' a digital media platform, part of a province wide media group..
