If I Had a $1000 Campaign

The Rotary Club of Waterdown is holding an "If I had a thousand dollars" campaign to encourage local groups and individuals to submit proposals for grants of up to $1,000.

 

Please consider what use you could make of a $1,000 grant and submit an application.  The guidelines and application form are enclosed and the deadline for applying is Thursday May 27 at 5:00 p.m.

For international projects, contact Garry Flood at 289-337-3941.   Our website, www.clubrunner.ca/waterdown, will give you more information about the kinds of projects our Club has sponsored in the past.

 

Since 1955, the Rotary Club of Waterdown has been active in our community, raising funds and contributing towards existing and new projects.  Even if you do not have a funding need at this time, please keep this letter and our contact details.  The Rotary Club of Waterdown accepts and reviews requests for funding and/or assistance for local and international projects 12 months a year.

"If I had a thousand dollars" campaign  - Rotary Club of Waterdown

 

Guidelines

1.  Applications are encouraged from individuals, non-profit groups and educational organizations in the former town of Flamborough.

 

2.  Applications must be submitted on the application form and be received by Thursday May 27, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. 

 

3.  The Rotary Club of Waterdown has set aside specific and limited funds for this endeavour and therefore reserves the right to award grants of up to $1,000 to more than one applicant, or not to award any grants if the requests do not meet the guidelines of the Rotary Club of Waterdown.

 

4.  Applications will be reviewed by the relevant Club committee and all applicants will be notified of the result of their application.

 

5.  Groups which receive government or United Way funding are unlikely to receive a grant under this program.

 

6.  This year, we will be accepting and reviewing applications for both local and international grants. The local grants are intended to be of benefit to Flamborough individuals/organizations. The international grants would ideally match the contributions (funding or volunteer time) of Flamborough residents.

 

7.  Where appropriate, the Rotary Club of Waterdown would appreciate suitable acknowledgement of any grants presented.

 

8.  Depending on the volume of applications received, preference may be given to new projects or groups/individuals which have not received assistance from the Rotary Club of Waterdown recently.
