Club members learn a lesson from student Marissa Iozzo
Marissa Iozzo, a grade 12 student at Waterdown Disirict High School, spoke to the club members, on April 24 and outlined her recent HIP (Honouring Indigenous Peoples) experience in Winnipeg.
Marissa is the student chair of the Platinum Jubilee Treaty Forest, recently established at Joe Sam's Park, Waterdown and supported by the Rotary Club of Waterdown.
Marissa is active in many other school organizations. She will be majoring in Environmental Sustainability and Resources' at the University of Waterloo beginning in the fall of 2023. After her presentation, President Garry Flood fielded questions from members.
