Li Ruifeng & Stella Duncan, grade 12 students at Waterdown High School speak at the Rotary Garden Court.
Li and Stella, both grade 12 students at Waterdown High School, spoke recently at the September 11th regular club meeting. Both students had participated in Club sponsored youth programs.
Stella Duncan participated in a citizen program and attended a citizen swearing in ceremony. "Something that I have not been thinking about all my life". She said that participating in the program opened her eyes to things beyond her local community of Waterdown. Stella volunteers extensively and said that her favourite subjects were english history, social sciences and the humanities.
Li Ruifeng attended a young men's camp and thanked the members for giving him the opportunity. Involved in many sport at school, Li said that his favourite subjects at school is physics and he would like to be a professor some day.
