Bill Thompson - Special Athlete

You might find this interesting......This is amazing... Bill Thompson (on the right) was our guest speaker @ Rotary last night .. he's off today to the World Masters Games in Sydney Australia .. he's 80 years old and does the 100 meters in 17 seconds! ..he said nice thing about now being in the 80-84 category is that he doesn't have to compete against those 75 year old "whipper snappers" anymore.. he's holding the gold medal for the 4x100 relay won in Italy back in 2007 when a Canadian record was set with 63 seconds..there will be 28,000 athletes in Australia from 100 countries...with 200 of them being ex-olympians....
