Today many people are without transportation and they cannot get to Food Banks for help. The Branchburg Rotary is bridging the gap between those who can get to a facility for help and those who can’t by opening a Soup Kitchen in a place in Bound Brook that is an easy walk for most people. We’ve been able to tie the soup kitchen to other towns in the county by asking volunteers to pick-up food and bring it to those in need. We have also started a new food pantry to distribute fresh food for our community members as well.The "Not Just Soup kitchen" cannot make a major impact on those individuals without financial help from the community. Finding families that need the food is easy. Funding a project of this size is a major undertaking.

Hello and welcome to the second attempt at a club bulletin.
As I see this right now the most important thing for all of us is to check the calendar.
To say the very least it is fluid. The meeting dates are in a constant state of flux. DO NOT think because you put it in your calendar already it is correct.
Right now:
The Foundation meeting for Monday was Cancelled. No date rescheduled yet.
The Food Truck / Beer Truck meeting is still on for Wednesday the 20th
The Tricky Tray meeting for Thursday - moved to Next Monday the 25
We had a great meeting of the Veterans Network last Thursday. All 5 of our Veterans' groups are thankful to all the Rotarians who continue to give them support now and in the past. We are on track for a Sanctioned Motorcycle run on the 18th of September.
There will be a cash raffle that we, as well as the Veterans groups will be sharing in the proceeds and the match.
The raffle tickets will be available as soon as we have a license number - we are trying to get it together before the food truck festival so we can sell tickets as well as beer, soda, hard cider, etc.
DON'T FORGET THIS WEEKS MEETING IS AT JERRYS BROOKLYN GRILL - SAME TIME. WE HOPE TO SEE ALL OF YOU THERE. WE ARE GETTING BUSY AGAIN YOU DON'T WANT TO BE LEFT BEHIND NOW.
