BRANCHBURG ROTARY BECOMES FIRST PEACE BUILDER CLUB IN THE ROTARY DISTRICT 7475.
 
The Branchburg Rotary Club announced that RC Branchburg is the first Peace Builder Club in Rotary District 7475 to achieve (Peace Builder) status in 2019. 
To become a Peace Builder Club, individual Rotary clubs must participate in community-building projects both locally and internationally to build infrastructure and promote peace.
Branchburg Rotary projects include sending youth to Rotary Leadership camps, conducting Peace Day celebration, offering college scholarships, building community organizations by awarding grants to local veteran groups.

Hosting Russian OPEN WORLD program participants.

 
 Branchburg Rotary also provides school supplies for students in Nepal and New Jersey, as well as several other projects including maintaining a Peace Park at the NJ Buddhist Vihara.  Rotary also obtained International Cities of Peace Zone for the Buddhist Vihara.

Interfaith Thanksgiving Dinner
International projects involve conducting special “I CAN DO IT” campaign in Nepal in cooperation with Rotaract students in Nepal and Rotaract Exchange program in Nepal and Colombia, where students spend two weeks working on various humanitarian projects.  The club also supporting water, sanitation and micro credit projects in Nepal. Other International projects include India, Nicaragua, Ecuador and planting trees at the Paul Harris forest in Israel.

Annual International Peace Day Celebration at the NJ Buddhist Vihara. 

 
HOST FAMILY  FOR RUSSIAN VISITORS - 
 
Branchburg Rotary and Rotaract will hold a special luncheon program to raise funds for the Peace and Meditation Center building at the NJ Buddhist Vihara, on Sunday, September 22, from 12:00 to 2:30pm. 
 
The vision for the Peacebuilder Club program is to maximize Rotary as an agent for peace and to connect service to Peace. Rotarians are “people of action” who want to do something—not just talk—about creating a safer, more secure world.
