Fisher House Foundation provides “a home away from home” for military and veteran families by building and donating comfort homes located at major military and VA medical centers. These homes allow families to stay close—at no cost—while a loved one receives medical care. Since 1990, Fisher Houses have offered millions of days of free lodging, easing both emotional and financial burdens. The Foundation also operates programs like Hero Miles and Hotels for Heroes, which use donated airline miles and hotel points to bring families to the bedside of injured service members, and it funds scholarships supporting military children and spouses.
