TAILGATE 2010

What a great day Saturday November 20, 2010 was for a Tailgate Party. The weather was perfect. Rotarians picked up the food donated by our major sponsor, HEB. By 10:00 the young ladies from Duchesne and the young men from St Thomas. our Fellow Rotarians, regular and new volunteers arrived and the event was set up. Around 11:00 our guest from the Boys & Girls Clubs and Chinquapin School started arriving. Face painting, Rice tattoos and good food were enjoyed by all. After the meal the Boys & Girls Clubs presented our club with Thank You banners then it was off to the Rice football game. This was another successful Rotary Club of University Area Houston Tailgate Party. Rotarians enjoyed the fellowship and seeing some of our missing members. Our club appreciates and thanks all those who took part in the event which is a 25 Year plus tradition. Susan Epps arranged for the food & provided her wonderful deserts, Dick Stabell got the tickets & tables, Jim Moers was chief cook. (Made great spicy dogs for the older crowd.) A special thank you to Geo. H Lewis & Sons for the use of the tent and putting it in the right place.
