Jen Torres, Senior Executive Director of March of Dimes
March of Dimes is a national nonprofit that works to improve the health of moms and babies by focusing on preventing maternal health risks and death, reducing preterm birth and infant mortality, and advancing health equity. In the Houston area, March of Dimes engages local volunteers and partners through community initiatives and events, including efforts such as its Houston Collective Impact Initiative, which trains and mentors women of color to become community-based doulas to expand access to pregnancy support for families who might not otherwise receive it.
