DISTRICT 5890 CONFERENCE IN GALVESTON

 
OUR ROTARY DISTRICT HAD A GREAT CONFERENCE IN GALVESTON 04-28 THRU 05-01.  THE FOLLOWING IS A BRIEF ACCOUNT OF THINGS THAT HAPPENED:
  • Irene Hickey was named District 5890 Rotarian of the Year and chosen to serve on the District Governor Selection Committee
  • Sonya Heath was named Rising ROTARIAN of the Year
  • Homero Ponce-Lopez presented the RFFH and  there are now several clubs who are interested in partnering with our club
  • The beer garden hospitality suite that Joe Ridley and Phil Cezeaux coordinated was a success
  • Jerry Harris won a door prize
  • And special friend of RCUA, Lindsey Kroll and his team won first place in the golf tournament and Lindsey won the wheelbarrow of beer.
