2010 NURSING SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

The 2010 nursing scholarships were awarded by President Bob Schamus, Past President & Scholarship Chairman Dick Ferley and committee member Ron Donelson at the September 01 and September 08 meetings. The September 01 recipients were Jennie Barrera and Martha Adu. The September 08 recipients were Chimtua Chukwuemeka-Ogbah, Shauntel Scott and Khadine Haye. All are from the school of nursing at Prairie View A & M. Each gave a short thank you speech and told the club of their future plans. Our Rotary club is proud to be able to support the medical community by providing assistance to these worthy future nurses. Since the inception of our clubs' Nurses Scholarship Program, we have awarded approximately $200,000.00.
