The Chanhassen Rotary Club awarded $24,000 in scholarships to local students on May 21, 2008.
17 Chanhassen high school students from 5 different schools received scholarships from the Chanhassen Rotary Club at a breakfast banquet on Wednesday, May 21.

The Club awarded $24,000 to local scholars at a breakfast at the Oak Ridge Conference Center. Dr. Mitch Pearlstein of the Center of the American Experiment provided the keynote address, highlighting the work and life of former Minnesota Governor Al Quie.

Scholarships ranging from $750 to $2500 were awarded. The scholarships were made possible through the Club's fund raising efforts and it's generous sponsors. Scholarship sponsors included Michael Leonard DDS, the Community Bank Chanhassen, Eden Trace, General Mills, Ridgeview Medical Center, Klein Bank, Americana Community Bank, Blomberg Companies, Waytek, the Chanhassen Villager and Exlar Corporation.
