The Rotary Foundation funds our humanitarian activities, from local service projects to global initiatives.

International Projects
 
Recent Rotary Club of Doylestown projects co-funded with The Rotary Foundation
  • Women's Dairy Coop in India - In the village of Sone Sanghavi, 100 women contributed 100 Rupees each to form the Shakti Mahila Women’s Dairy Cooperative with the help of the Ashta No Kai (For a Better Tomorrow) Foundation. Thirty pregnant cows and dairy equipment was purchased with a Rotary Foundation matching grant sponsored by The Rotary Club of Doylestown
  • Water Wells for the Maasai - The Rotary Club of Doylestown, the Rotary Club of Langata (Kenya), The Rotary Foundation and generous donations from local Buck County citizens funded water wells that are now benefiting over 10,000 Massai people in Kenya
  • Malawi Sanitation Project - The Rotary Club of Doylestown and The Rotary Club of Bwaila (Malawi) partnered with the Rotary Foundation to fund the construction of 17 eco-sanitary latrines in Malawi, Africa.
  • Peru Water Filters - Household Water Filters providing safe drinking water for residents of Lima, Peru. The Rotary Club of Morrisville - Yardley and the Sunrise Rotary Club of Lima, Peru sponsored the program with financial support from the Rotary Club of Doylestown and The Rotary Foundation

  • Every Rotarian, Every Year by contributing $1 or more per year
  • Sustaining Member by contributing $100 or more per year
  • Paul Harris Fellow with cumulative contributions of $1,000
  • Paul Harris Society by contributing $1,000 per year
  • Major Donor with cumulative contributions of $10,000
Foundation Month Promotion - In November, the Club will match each dollar of your contributions with $1 in recognition points
 
The District's Million Dollar Journey
 
The Million Dollar Journey is the District’s effort to raise One Million Dollars for the Rotary Foundation through gifts and bequests of $10,000 or more.
  • The Journey runs from May 2014 through May 2016
  • Gifts are in addition to regular giving
  • Contributors of $10,000 or more of new money will be recognized and designated as "Honorees" at a celebration to be held in the spring of 2016
  • We will also recognize all Major Donors and Bequest Society members at the Celebration
  • All District 7430 Rotarians will be invited to celebrate our success at this Million Dollar Dinner
Two Ways to Participate in the Million Dollar Journey:
 
     1. Outright gifts of $10,000 or greater
a. Gift of Cash
b. Gift of Stock
c. Major Gift Pledge over 3 years
d. Charitable Gift Annuity/Charitable Remainder Trust
e. Transfer Ownership of permanent Life Insurance
 
     2. Bequests of $10,000 or greater
a. Bequest in a will or living trust
b. Beneficiary designation of a retirement plan (i.e. IRA, 401K, 403B)
c. Beneficiary designation of a permanent life insurance policy
