The Rotary Club of Doylestown honored four area adults and six high school students with awards and designated grants totaling $15,250 to six community nonprofit agencies at special breakfast meeting on May 5th.

Adults were nominated by community residents and fellow Rotarians. Awards were designated to by various sectors including

for-profit:          Jane McKenna

non-profit:        Diane Smith

healthcare:      Dr. Albert Ruenes, Jr.

education:       Keith Ciafrani

 

The high school awards honor six students from the Central Bucks School District:

Mira Amin

Lauren Hinkel

Elizabeth Kaplan

Matthew Richardson

Daniel Rosenberg

Christopher Zheng

The selection was based on an application, 1000-1500 word essay, and letters of recommendation.

 

The grants were awarded to

BARC:                                                     $3,000

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County:  $3,000

Bucks County Women's Fund:                   $1,750

Camp Discovery:                                       $3,000

NOVA:                                                      $1,500

Twilight Wish:                                            $3,000
