Two of the biggest upcoming changes are the addition of a new Life Sciences building and a change of status from College to University. This is huge. DelVal is no longer that sleepy little farm college west of town. As a matter of fact DelVal is rated one of best colleges in the Northeast and it specializes in life sciences.
As Dr Brosnan spoke, you could sense his pride of DelVal. And of course being the top guy at the college, he was compelled to give us a quiz (a written quiz). It was to test our knowledge of DelVal and the winner received a very nice DelVal sweatshirt.

Delaware Valley College is a small, private, multi-disciplinary college on 571 acres in Doylestown, Pa. Founded in 1896, it features individualized attention and small class sizes. DelVal supplements its theoretical learning with applied learning, and most students receive 4 credits for working 500 hours in their major field of study.
The college, with 1,700 full-time undergraduate students, offers 27 majors and specializes in the life sciences. DelVal tends to attract pre-veterinary students and among its most popular majors are small animal science, equine science, and conservation and wildlife management. Other science offerings include chemistry, environmental design, food science, microbiology and biotechnology, and zoology.
The college also offers degrees in business, criminal justice, counseling psychology, and media and communications. It has an MBA program, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and an extensive course offering in Continuing Education, including a curriculum that provides adult learners with teacher certification.
