The Rotary Club of Doylestown awarded nonprofit organizations with grants totaling $21,760.
At the annual "Four Way Test" awards breakfast, held on April 29, 2015, the following organizations were presented checks:

Camp Discovery is a week long summer program run by a volunteer staff that supports overnight camping for up to 40 campers.  One-on-one counselors work with children 8 to 11 years old who grow up in difficult life situations and
The $2,000 grant will offset camper lodging costs
 
 
 
 
 
Child Home & Community empowers and educates young parents so they can enjoy healthy pregnancies, learn parenting skills and complete their education.
The $2,825 grant will purchase two educational modules of an evidence-based learning program to be taught to teen parents.
 
 
 
 
 
The Doylestown Fire Department has served our community since 1879. Fire-fighting and rescue work and community service is supported by 135 unpaid men and women who respond at a moment’s notice any time of day or night to help us. 
This $500 grant is to recognize and thank our Fire Department for their outstanding work and with special thanks for the manpower they provide to assist us with our annual car show each July.
 
 
 
 
 
The Doylestown Youth Fishing Program is a community tradition. Each year, volunteers clean and prepare the Borough Dam pond located at Chapman Park and stock the pond with trout for youth fishing day. On Fishing Day, youth age 16 and under, are invited to cast their lines and enjoy a wonderful day of fishing.
The $1,500 grant supports the 2015 fishing event.
 
 
 
 
 
Ivy Hill enhances the lives of individuals with physical, social, educational, or psychological challenges.
The $3,000 grant will provide scholarships to summer camp program and supplies.
 
 
 
 
 
 
The Network of Victim’s Assistance supports victims of assault and other serious crimes in Bucks County and works to prevent and eliminate violence.
The $1,785  grant will develop a curriculum for young adults ages 17-21 with developmental disabilities during their transition from school to work emphasizing healthy relationships and other social issues.
 
 
 
 
 
Peaceful Living serves people with intellectual disabilities and autism through in-home and community support programs and residential services.
The $3,000 grant will be used to purchase and install a new fire alarm system for their facility in New Britain, making their building complaint for the hearing impaired individuals they serve.
 
 
 
 
 
ShelterBox, founded in 2000, is the premier international aid organization that provides emergency shelter and life-saving equipment following disasters such as earthquake, volcano, flood, hurricane, cyclone, tsunami or conflict. Each box supplies an extended family with a tent and life-saving equipment to use while they are displaced or homeless.
The donation amount to sponsor each box is $1,000 which includes delivery direct to those who need it.  Each year, Doylestown Rotary provides $2,000 in funding to purchase 2 shelter boxes.
 
 
 
 
 
Tabor provides quality early care and education in a safe nurturing culturally competent environment
The $3,000 grant will purchase equipment and services to increase the safety of children at-risk of disruption from their families and will help their parents learn safety and parenting skills.
 
 
 
 
 
The Ted Lindeman Foundation supports young families who tragically or unexpectedly lose a spouse.
The $1,150 grant will support a fundraising gala to be held May 8th so that proceeds can be used to help a family with costs of daily living such as rent, child care, utility payments or groceries.
