Each year a group of local volunteers tie teal ribbons to trees and light poles to raise awareness for Ovarian Cancer. As a Club we usually donate $250 towards the cost of ribbons and also help to tie them around the town.
We are asking for only 2 hours of our Rotary members time to help with this worthy cause.
We meet outside Starbucks, have a brief introduction, collect ribbons and then are disbursed to allocated areas around town to tie ribbons on trees or light posts, or both. Not too hard ! It makes for a fun way to see our lovely town and make new friends, all the while raising awareness for Ovarian Cancer.
