Food in Space: How we'll eat on Mars

Dr. Matthew "Rex" Recsetar is a former extension aquaculture specialist who has worked with some of the largest commercial fish farms in the United States. He is also an expert on aquaponics in which he has been consulting for the last 8 years. He currently teaches Aquaponics Design as well as Aquaponics Engineering at the University of Arizona.

Sean Gellenbeck is currently a Ph.D. Student in Biosystems Engineering and is researching integrated bioregenerative life support systems for human space travel.  He currently works for Paragon Space Development Corporation and has previously worked on the NASA OSIRIS-REx Asteroid Sample Return Mission.  He hopes to one day set foot on the surface of Mars himself.
