The Rotary Club of Lincoln Ontario was honoured to dedicate the installation of a Rotary Peace Pole at Rotary Park this morning, September 22, 2026.
Peace Poles began in Japan after the Second World War as a symbol of hope and a reminder of our shared responsibility for peace. The first Peace Pole was created in 1955 by Japanese peace advocate Masahisa Goi.
Today Peace Poles stand in communities around the world. Each carries the message "May Peace Prevail" in several languages serving as a visible reminder of our common hope for peace, understanding and harmony.
