Happy in My Home (formerly known as Community Support Services of Niagara)

We’re dedicated to helping seniors and adults with disabilities live comfortably and
independently in their own homes. Join our caring community of volunteers! We
offer flexible, 1-hour-a-week opportunities such as Meals on Wheels delivery,
friendly phone visits, and transportation support.

Silver Spires Church in St. Catharines
They run a program called the BEAR CLAN PATROL.  Volunteers go to the streets to connect with the homeless, they take food, water and warm clothing (scarves & mitts) with them to distribute to those in need. The church also has a meal program as well as an available place to shower. 
They are always in need of personal hygiene products as well as monetary donations. If you are interested in volunteering or donating to either program please contact Karen Orlandi (minister) at:

Community Care of West Niagara
Community Care of West Niagara is a registered charity that provides support to residents of Lincoln since 1967. CCWN is the only food bank in Lincoln that is a direct member of Feed Ontario and affiliate member of Food Banks Canada
Areas we serve; Beamsville, Campden, Jordan, Rockway, Tintern and Vineland.
Gillian's Place
As one of Ontario’s first shelters for those experiencing abuse, Gillian’s Place provides safe refuge and support programs in an effort to end gender-based violence. At Gillian’s Place, we’re much more than a safe shelter. Our team has strived to continuously evolve and grow in our understanding of and responsiveness to, the needs within our community. We have grown in our awareness of the intersections between violence and marginalization and the necessity of providing an inclusive, barrier-free response to gendered violence. We are inclusive and welcoming of all women, two-spirit, genderqueer, trans and non-binary people facing violence. We desire to offer services and spaces where all survivors can come without reservation, knowing that they will be welcomed, respected and provided with hope, dignity and choices. Together, we can help break the cycle of violence in our community. 
YWCA Niagara
 The YWCA Niagara Region provides shelter, food and assistance to women and families in poverty.   We are committed to social change and work to create a community that supports women in need and provides support through each step towards financial stability and independent living.  
The Breakfast Club of Canada 
  • Give access to a healthy breakfast in a warm, inviting setting every day.
  • Be available to all students at the elementary and high school level.
  • Have every breakfast served by welcoming and attentive adults.
  • Encourage students to volunteer their time to develop life skills, leadership acumen and self-confidence.
Community Living
We provide person-centred services that support people living with intellectual disabilities.
McNally House Hospice

Since 2008, McNally House Hospice is a residential setting that provides 24 hour specialized palliative care, free of charge, to people living with a life-limiting illness, as well as those in their life circle.

Serving the Niagara West communities of Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln, McNally House has an approach to palliative care that reflects the hospice philosophy, through our comprehensive and compassionate programs for residents and their families. Such care seeks to maximize the individual’s quality of life; the emphasis is on living rather than dying.

Village of Hope
Village of Hope has firmly established strong ties within the community by providing a range of programs and services that promote nutritional health, family events, and overall community involvement.
Ronald McDonald House Charities
To provide a warm, compassionate and safe home away from home for families of seriously ill children who are receiving treatment at our local children’s hospital.
Built in 1993 and located next to McMaster Children’s Hospital, RMHCSCO is independently owned and operated by Kid’s Care Oncology Central West Ontario and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, managed by a small staff team and supported by a full complement of dedicated volunteers.
 
Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup

Marking 2022 Earth Day, District 7070, along with neighboring Districts, will be organizing a Rotary Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup.

This will be a great way to engage our Rotary Family and non-Rotarians in a day of action, draw attention to our fragile environment and our desire to be part of the solution. With the plan for heavy promotion it is an opportunity to bring awareness to the good work of Rotary.

Get your club to select a nearby waterway or even a local park to clean up and be a part of this exciting event in April ! Mark this in your calendars - more details will follow
