The Rotary Club of Lincoln Foundation Inc. raises funds for charitable purposes, particularly in support of children and youth under 18 years in Canada and South Africa.

On November 26, 2024 the Rotary Club Of Lincoln in partnership with the West Niagara Secondary School held a free community event in the new theatre at the school. The event named “ For the Love of Theatre “ invited Tim Carroll the Artistic Director, Shaw Festival to give a presentation about the state of theatre in Niagara and Shaw Festival news. A reception was held before the event at the school with the culinary students catering the reception.
To kick off the event in the theatre a cheque presentation from the Rotary Club of Lincoln, by President Joanne Serkeyn was presented to Principal Mat Miller for $100,000 to be used for funding the theatre.
The focus of our club is primarily youth and community orientated and we felt with this donation to the WNSS theatre we will be fulfilling that focus by helping to provide funding to keep the arts alive in our school and community.
“We are very grateful for the contribution the Rotary Club of Lincoln has made to this project,” said Mike Kirkopoulos, Lincoln’s Chief Administrative Officer. “The funds have allowed us to add much-needed elements to the park, including support towards the new skateboarding facilities. This partnership is an example of how well our community comes together to create beautiful and age-friendly spaces for all to enjoy and benefit from.”
Rotary clubs the world over have a tradition of establishing public parks for the communities they serve. These are enduring legacy projects that serve everyone equally in the community for years to come. Upon completion, the new 3.66 acre Rotary Park in Lincoln will include both active and passive park elements including:
Rotary Club of Lincoln and their Executive, members of Lamplighters, were joined by representatives of Cave Springs Board of Directors and the Legacy Hall fundraising team February 18,2020 for the official cheque presentation of $25,000 to fulfill the pledge to match up to an additional $25,000 any community donations, above and beyond the original $100,000 donation.

Initiating the matching donation challenge to the community was to also help raise awareness of this project and get the community involved in supporting the camp. The construction of a brand-new facility will expand the camp to a year-round operation. The facility will be fully accessible and have universal washrooms designed to accommodate all abilities and genders of children."
