Throw Projectors for West Niagara Secondary School
 
The Lincoln Rotary Club using a Rotary District Grant presented to the West Niagara Secondary School two throw projectors to be used in the theatre program and audio visual programs offered at the school.  Provided Niagara Christian Gleaners with a powered hand pallet truck as an essential piece of equipment required for operations in their plant expansion to be built starting June 2023.

COMPUTERS FOR AFGHAN REFUGEES 2022/23
 
To equip Afghan families, each of whom are resettling in Niagara, with one laptop computer loaded with Microsoft Office software & capacity for using a variety of online resources to enable them in their resettlement process.

Cave Springs Camp Audio Visual Project 2021/22
 
The project equipped Cave Springs Camp, Retreat & Conference Centre (CSCRCC) with a permanent audio-visual (AV) system in the main gathering room of its newly constructed facility known as Legacy Hall.

Khazimula Growing Tunnel  2021/22
At Khazimula, the children are taught how to grow their own food so that they understand the food system and value quality nutrition. The ability to grow their own vegetables enables them to provide for themselves and others when they return to their communities. Additionally, through this exposure, they may be inspired to pursue agriculture as a career in the future. A growing tunnel will allow the growing season to be extended, protect the plants against common diseases and pests (such as Monkeys), and assist in mitigating the effects of solar radiation. The irrigation system will assist in saving water. Crops grown in a tunnel are also less likely to be damaged by wind, rain, and hail, all of which are prevalent in the area where Khazimula is located.

CONVOS YOUTH ZONE OFFICE SPACE 2019/20
 

 Provided Convos Youth Zone (youth drop in centre) with appropriate office space to be used for private consultation with youth leaders and councilors.

Snoezelen Room for Community Living 2018/19
The Snoezelen Room is a welcome oasis for both children and adults who regularly participate in the many programs offered by Community Living at its C.D. Hopkins Centre in Beamsville. 
 With a new coat of paint, new wheelchair accessible carpeting, old furnishings cleaned and repaired along with the installation of three new pieces of equipment, the Snoezelen Room is open for use again.
Snoezelen Multi-Sensory environments are relaxing spaces that help reduce agitation and anxiety but they can also engage and delight the user, stimulate reactions and encourage communication. There is no restriction in terms of age or ability. Snoezelen is for everyone living with challenging behaviour, autism and brain injury.

STORAGE LOCKERS FOR KHAZIMULA CHILDRENS PROJECT 2017/18
 
 Purchased metal storage lockers for Khazimula Children's Project in Lidgetton, South Africa. This was to provide students at Khazimula a space to store their personal items.

MOBILE WORK CARTS FOR COMMUNITY CARE WEST NIAGARA 2016/17
Provided local Community Care of West Niagara, CCWN, with mobile work carts to enable the volunteers & staff greater safety and efficiency in receiving and handling the various materials as food, clothing and token holiday mementos to the recipients in the community.

The mission of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education and the alleviation of poverty.
 
The Rotary Foundation (TRF) offers two (2) types of grants: District and Global. 
 
District Grants fund short term projects and activities, either locally or internationally that support the mission of The Rotary Foundation.
  
Global Grants fund large-scale projects and activities, involving both a Host and an International partner. 
 
Club Qualification:
All Clubs are invited to QUALIFY for District and Global Grants for every Rotary year. Qualification assures The Rotary Foundation that your Club has the proper financial and stewardship controls in place to successfully manage grant funds.  Grant management encompasses everything from selecting projects and activities to applying for the grant, to ensure proper stewardship of funds, to evaluating and reporting grant outcomes.
Global Grants
All projects that receive Foundation grants must be initiated and managed by Rotarians.  Global grants must:
  • Align with one or more Areas of Focus.
  • Respond to a need identified by the benefiting community, as clearly indicated in the mandatory needs assessment document. 
  • Include the active participation of the benefiting community.
  • Be sustainable: designed to enable the community to help itself after the Rotary Club or District has concluded its work.
  • Have measurable outcomes.
Global grants may be submitted at any time, subject to available funds.  The application form can be found at rotary.org, The Rotary Foundation tab, then go to Apply for Grants, Grant Center.  Important grant resources and forms are found in Grant Center.

successfully obtained a grant for ELIMINATING PREVENTABLE MATERNAL & CHILD MORTALITY IN GUATEMALA.
