PAST EVENTS
Bike the Benchlands is a community cycling event and charitable fundraiser with proceeds going to Pathstone Youth Mental Health and other Rotary Youth Programs. Rotary Club strives to celebrate Healthy Communities by developing and growing the popularity of cycling in our area and the opportunities cyclo-tourism can bring to the local community.
Pick your Adventure 25, 50 or 75 km cycling Tour
Each distance includes a map and refreshments such as coffee, muffins, and fruit before the ride. During the ride, there will be rest stops where you can enjoy snacks and drinks. After the ride, lunch will be provided at the Fleming Centre. Additionally, you will receive a Bike the Bench treat bag, which includes a complimentary bottle of wine to take home.
A family friendly event was also held in conjunction with the cycling tour named Roll In Rotary featuring a Wheels & Heels Parade.
LAMPLIGHTER TOUR
The Lamplighter Tour is comprised of live theatre, with the aim of bringing local history alive, showcasing our local talent, but also the rich heritage and culture that is our foundation in the Town of Lincoln.
The excitement level is high the evening of our Premier Performance. This is our first chance to perform in front of an audience. The many hours of practice, rehearsing lines, learning the moves of the characters all come together for this first performance. When the “walking tour” begins over four magical days in October the efforts of over 100 volunteers culminates together, in what can be called the “ultimate team experience” to create what is known as the “Lamplighter Tour.”
SUNSET MUSIC SERIES
The Rotary Club of Lincoln, Note for Note Productions and Town of Lincoln (www.lincoln.ca) are pleased and proud to take the lead in organizing the Sunset Music Series at The Rotary Shell located in picturesque, lakeside Charles Daley Park, 1969 North Service Road, Jordan, Ontario. Each summer, weekly concerts are held every Tuesday evening, 7:00pm – 8:30pm, from the beginning of July to the end of August.
The Sunset Music Series is geared to the musical tastes of people of all ages. From jazz to rock and pop, to country and more, each concert features a unique theme. For audience members who are more comfortable listening to our concerts in their vehicles, car radios in the Charles Daley parking lot receive the evening’s program broadcast live through an in-park FM radio transmitter. Food vendors are at the park beginning at 5:30pm and throughout each concert.
Nine, Wine and Dine Charity Golf TournamentAnnual Golf tournament presented by the Rotary Club of Lincoln.The last golf tournament was held in 2022 with great success raising funds over the 25 years of the life of the tournament. In 2023 we committed to a new fundraising event called Bike the Benchlands.
