Pictured here are 5 of the 44 women who have successfully completed their training as midwives in the Western Highlands Region of Guatemala. It is through Lincoln Rotary's ongoing GLOBAL GRANT PROJECT that these women have advanced their vocational skills to attend to high-risk pregnancies & eliminate preventable deaths of mothers & babies. People in this Guatemalan region live in extreme poverty and access to safe & affordable prenatal health care is very limited.
