December 12 the Rotary Club of Lincoln and the Ancaster AM Rotary clubs partnered with Hamilton Fire & Police services to serve up a breakfast for 560 kids that attend the Dr. J Edgar Davey Elementary School in North Hamilton.
Each child received a nutritious breakfast and then waited excitedly for a special visitor that gifted each with a Christmas present. The Lincoln and Ancaster AM Rotary clubs sponsored the gifts, Tiercon Corp. Automotive Components of Stoney Creek sponsored the breakfast. Chef Brad Rempel of Lincoln prepared the breakfast with a host of volunteers serving the kids. The Fire Chief and the Police Chief along with officers from both services served the breakfast and made merry with the kids.

The Police mascot Coppy and the Hamilton Bull Dogs Bruiser also attended to celebrate with the kids.

This breakfast has become an annual event for the school and this year was the 19th. year the breakfast was achieved. The breakfast was the idea of Joanne Serkeyn a Hamilton Police officer and a proud Rotarian that is presently the President of the Rotary Club of Lincoln after moving to the Lincoln community a few years ago.

A wonderful way to give back to a community that may not have the means to celebrate the holidays.
