The second in the RCL speaker series around Native Plants and Gardens was a great success with a most informative presentation by Heather Frank from Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, "Experiencing Nature in Your Backyard." A lesson on the Carolinian ecozone that we reside in, the importance of land stewardship, native plants and how we can start in our own backyards to enhancing the natural ecosystems of our unique area. The Carolinian ecozone is known as Canada's biggest wildlife garden. Resources and opportunities to volunteer from the NPCA were also highlighted.
