Bruce Timms Regional Councilor - Region Updates
 
  • Go rail progress. treasury board has set aside monies. Hopefully Grimsby by 2021 and Niagara Falls 2023
  • looking at Double duty councilors for Region in city of St Catherines
  • will act as both city councilor and regional councilor unlike now where there are 12 city councilors elected, one mayor and 6 regional councilors
  • Tourism Center for Niagara Region to hopefully set up at Casablanca site as Information center presently there is being discontinued.
  • want to keep information Center open and promote Niagara tourism not just Niagara Falls tourism.
  • want to promote TAKE THE LAKE DRIVE, scenic drive including waterfront trail
  • Working with communities along the lake to offer alternative route to the QEW and bringing tourists on the way to Niagara Falls into our communities
