2018 Australian Vocational Training Team Visits Lincoln
The 2018 Australian Vocational Training Team arrived in Rotary District 7090 on May 24.
The team spent time touring in Western New York State and following came to Ontario where they will tour Niagara, Brantford, Haldimand & Norfolk until June 15. The incoming Australian VTT with the focus on fruit farming hails from Rotary District 9790 where horticulture is a primary economic driver.
The team consisted of team leader Les Mitchel, Elizabeth Mace, Jonathan Van Popering & Ross Abberfield.
A barbecue was hosted by The Rotary Club of Lincoln and Torrie Warner a member of the VTT from Canada that visited Australia last year. Torrie owns and operates a local farm in Lincoln. A great time touring the farm, barbecuing some steaks and ribs and getting to know and exchange ideas with our visiting Auzzies.
