Each week, our District Governor, Richard Manganello, sends us a brief newsletter chock full of information about what our District and our fellow District Clubs are up to.
Below is just a sampling.  Please go to Rotary Rocks to read more.
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) - The Monadnock Rotary Club invites each club in Rotary District 7870 to participate in this year's Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Conference. Each club is encouraged to se-lect and sponsor high school Juniors and Seniors who are interested in attend-ing. The cost of the program is $90 per student. We ask that your club provide payment for the students that you select and sponsor. The conference is open to 60 high school Juniors and Seniors and we recommend that each partici-pating club register a maximum of 4 students. Participants will be registered on a first come first served basis until all 60 slots are filled. Details at www.Rotary7870.org Site Pages, RYLA

Host a Group Study Exchange (GSE) Team – You and your club will be greatly enriched if you host a GSE Team. This Rotary Year we have double the opportunity, with two inbound teams, one from Turkey and one from Pakis-tan. These will be incredible people and afford us a wonderful opportunity to build peace and goodwill with these two important nations. The District GSE Committee is accepting your expressions of interest in hosting one of these teams in late May 2011. For the Pakistan Team, please contact David Hoopes macsportsvt@aol.com or Erik Lutz efjlutz@aol.com . For the Turkey Team, please contact Amy Wheeler AmyWheeler_@hotmail.com or Emily Jones ejones1667@comcast.net.

Club Visioning – We are pleased to report that the District's Club Vision Fa-cilitation Team has completed training and is ready to schedule Visioning Workshops for Clubs who would like to develop their vision. We thank the Rotary Club of Hollis-Brookline for being our first vision-building opportunity and entrusting us to facilitate their workshop. We still have a lot to learn about effective scheduling of workshops. Interested Clubs are invited to go to www.Rotary7870.org to learn about visioning and to apply to schedule a workshop.
