On February 26th, The Tough Techs, represented by Tom, Tom, Nick, Jamie, Molly, Julia and Shannon, addressed the Rotary Club of Nashua, regarding developing robots in a global competition. These are some multi-talented kids (some of the group shared their music talents at the beginning of our meeting).  The Tough Techs are tasked with developing robots in a global competition.
These young adults write software/code, use CAD, and actually fabricate robots.  This process is only 6 weeks from the first video of their challenge to having a fully functioning robot to complete the tasks.  There is even a business side to the process with budgeting and fundraising.  The group works at Make It Labs here in Nashua. They work hard to make the program accessible to everyone through hard work and a lot of volunteers.

Many of them also mentor elementary school kids through STEM mentoring and FIRST Lego League.  This is a great group of young people who are taking on the task of making science and technology fun and getting young kids involved and excited.  Thanks for a wonderful presentation and good luck!
