On September 9th, 2013, Scott Spradling, an Emmy award winning former reporter, anchor and political director for WMUR-TV in Manchester addressed the Rotary Club of Nashua.  Scott is now working with the Northern Pass Project.  This project is a 187 mile transmission line that will bring 1,200 megawatts of low cost, clean, reliable energy (primarily hydropower) from Canada to New Hampshire and New England.

The initial project has changed to accommodate new input from constituents.  New route is less intrusive, low profile towers, better hidden by topography and utilizes more existing tracts.  Most vocal opposition for the project comes from the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests.  Mr. Spradling is hopeful that more discussion will lead to an accord between the groups.
